It looks like Santa and his workers were working over time today, the transom and bulk head were laid up today, its amazing to watch this boat come together, whats really comforting is we have a boat builder willing to share his process with all of us, it just goes to show what he's made of too............. SVB = Single V Bottom sorry for that abbreviation.........

HP would be speculative at this point, as the motors come together we will post picks, and at dyno time will provide video of the pulls, no secrets, we really are trying to keep this as informative as possible, with this type of thread, keeping it factual, and transpartent, the hopes are that this will benefit the class, the builder and all the supporting vendors.........

Eddie,
If u have any question or anything I can do to help let me know. Mark and I have discussed the motor in length, so I'm sure you have a handle on it but feel free to call . There is 3 possibly 4 of the new SBI motors built so far and all have been very close in HP, pretty simple motor.

What were the numbers with the worn out 525 if you don't mind sharing? Was the boat at 4750 Lbs? I can tell you all the top boats at OPA with good 525 motors max out at 93 MPH on a real good day. And most race days more like 90 MPH. That should give you a good baseline to see where you are at.
