Its finally in home :D :D :D :D

Trailered down the thruway great better than my other boat

went to dmv today,and its all set to splash..........

heading to henderson tommorrow night, won't be able to get in the water untill sunday though, saturday is booked :mad:

thats great! congrats and welcome to the AT family! BUT how can you wait till sunday I would have taken the day off today and been in it!!!!!! I would never be able to look at a new boat in my driveway and not be able to use it !!!!!!!!!! fact is I couldn't sleep unless I was on it!!! good luk man and have fun with it. THE BIG LAKE WILL NEVER LOOK THE SAME

SO did you go out and play? how was it? I didn't see ya but I only went as far asthe mouth of the lake didn't get as far as henderson, wanted to but had to get back to A-bay for my brother. looks great in the pics

WOW what a ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

couldn't wait till sunday, spashed it first thing sat morning got a couple hrs on it b4 prior commitments, ran great. Then got to play on it all day today.could only get about 65 out of her today with 2 people and a full tank,but still learning how to drive it, handled the 1-2 foot chop great but my wife didn't like the 3-4 out in the lake that much,she'll get used to it when she has more seat time :D

still no oil pressure gauge,checked the conections on the gauge seemed tight and clean, anyone know how to test the sender and where it is on the block,think I found it near the dipstick tube?

Fume detector was going off also,smelled some gear oil from an opened bottle under the back seat,couldn't see any fuel leaking or smell any gas fumes,any ideas??? I just shut it off

At the end of the day also when disconnected from the truck heard water drippin from inside the hull about the area of the porta john locker,checked under the cabin couches no water in those compartments, and very small amount of water in the bilge area under the motor............from the rain???


other than those couple of questions it was above and beyond for a 97 ran and drove like new :D :D :D :D

Guys....wait til I get home.....I let my daughter (15) and her freind take me and my wife for a ride yesterday. so easy to drive even a kid can drive it!! :D

less than 1/2 hour. the water? do you have pop up cleats? mine leak water when it rains. oil press, is it elec or hyd?

No pop ups but it was probably rain coming in tthrough the cockpit cover no support pole,just sounded weird when jacked the boat up,

gauge looks like electric but just looked didn't mess with it to much was having to much fun

would that open gear lube bottle trigger the fume detector?
never had one B4 always used my own sniffer

is ther a sencitivity adjustment? you an efi motor so you shouldn't have any gas fumes unless a line to the fuel pump or fuel rail is loose. or ck around the injectors on the intake and make sure they are not leaking. could be dryed out O rings but I dought it.

just 3 buttons on it ,test,on,off

took the sesnor out of the mount had some corrosion on the pins,but don't smell any gas leaks or see anything with or without engine running, guessing the detector is bad

Sorry guys......heads not on straight this week. Here we go....just getting it going (notice the death grip on the wheel) :D She did good....drove for about 10 minutes then she showboated by the gas dock guys!! :rolleyes:

I tried to get my wife to drive this past weekend. she won't do it. I said but what if something happened to me if we were out in the middle of nowhere? her answer? I have a cell phone!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!

Show her the picture....My wife brought the boat about 15-20 miles this last saturday to pick me up at another marina, docked it and all ( I was a bit nervous with the docking part of it) :eek: :D

The guys at our marina were looking around for me when the boat came out on the forklift and her and my daughter were the only ones standing there. :D

I'd love to change the scheme on our boat. Ours is painted by Kangaroo graphics exactly like a 37 straight V from the late 90's. I still like the paint but every once in a while I get a bug about changing it up :rolleyes:
