I've been coming out here for 12 yrs. now and there have been lots of changes. Real estate prices have gone from $500 sq. ft. to $1600 sq. ft. They did a complete makeover of the Gant last year and most of those units are going for 2-3 million now. My place is on the corner of Cooper Ave. and Origanal St. called Silverbell Condos. I'll be here the whole month of March so let me know if you decide to visit. There's still a helluva lot of fun to be had here it's just expensive and I don't need to remind you how good the skiing is. Here's a few pics. I took before i went up yesterday.
Go into Bentleys and ask for Keith (manager). Tell him Paul Jacks says hello. Also, if you get down to the Steak Pit, ask for Ronnie, or Howie. I'm pretty sure those guys are all still in the restaurant game, but man, it's been about ten years. Funny thing is, I still read the Aspen Daily News on line every day.
I had a house sitting gig about a quarter mile past the Woody Creek Tavern for a year, so I spent a good deal of time there as well, but it was a tiny little general store/cowboy bar back then.
