I'm pretty sure that a 28AT with twins is also going to ride azz heavy, as does a 32 fountain or anything else thats less than 30ft with twins.

LOL "A 32 Fountain or anything else less than 30ft". I had a brand new 32' Fever with 502s in 1993. It rode like chit and was the azz heaviest ride i"ve ever been on. 4" shorter than a 28 AT for the record. It didn't ride much better than my 24' Python. Have you ever owned a boat bigger than your 24 Python you had ?

Nope - but I do have a deal pending on a 28 Apache, not that it would make my opinion any different. I have been on a early 90's 32 fountain and it rode 10X better than my 24 python.

I love it when someone compares A.T. of any size to a Fountian. Single or twin it just can't be done. The closest one to a 28 whould be the 35. 32 would be closer to a 25,tantrum

Well 10x might be exaggerating a little. Ive owned them both along with a 32' Skater, 27' Eliminator and a 35' Fountain. My 37 AT could sink them all. Good luck with the Apache deal.

That's right,...a fountain 32 fever is 4" SHORTER than an Active Thunder 28. My boat with twin sb's sits fairly level and rides even more so. Look at pics and video if you question it. I did reduce the weight back there by removing the stock exhaust & going with the Stainless Marine; notieably on the swim platform/transom mount waterline. Oh well, there aren't any AT28 twins for sale so it's moot. Buy whatever the hell you want & compare it to whatever...we really don't care. It's all good...enjoy the water on any vessel you choose.
If you want a ride on a 28AT, I would be happy to oblige. You will be impressed like everyone else.

2x350 AT #2. Staging for a run with the SCOPE guys. 4 people (500lbs) - 2 full tanks (140 gal).

Ride is just slightly lower than Boatfreak's (ex) 496HO, as well as Michigan Troll's 502 Procharger. I sea trialed both before buying mine. Very tough choice...all are excellent boats.

But for me............Catalina Channel (3 miles deep) + family and friends = TWINS.

Ours does not have a notched transom, so there was no need for hull mods.
