Gimbal rings installed, bell housings on with new gimbal bellows, new shift cables. No shimmy/shake in the transom now. Bender's kit works well.

Motors completed. Exhausts back on.

Waiting on outdrives which should be this week. Getting close.

See from the pics that I do need to remember to install the plate on the cutouts on the transom assembly.

Do you have hydraulic steering? Can't see the rams in the pictures.

Yes I do. The boat had hydraulic with cable at the helm when I bought it. I converted it to full hydraulic within a year of buying the boat. You can see one of the rams under the license plate on the 2nd pic.

Everything is going back together OK. Even without some of the Merc "special tools".

I'm trying to get to the "Shootout". Howard Davis is bringing his 40' Motion again to compete so I am hoping to go even if my boat isn't ready.

I will call you.

Tom

Thunderstruck...

Where do you put the boat in?

I'm here in Houston, ever in the Houston/Galveston area?

I work offshore on the rigs from time to time, can I call you when I need a fast ride to shore? Ha.

Matt

We boat around Lake Charles most of the time but usually do a poker run or two in Clear Lake. I usually can be found at the Turtle Club. OH, did the Turtle Club make it through the storm??
