The theory is to toe it in an 1/8" and then the prop's torque will bring it back to zero which will give you an exact, perfect 0 degree drive setting.

Take a tape or tram and get it close. Don't lose sleep over it. Truth be told it won't effect a thing if it's in or out.

In a car the toe-in effects tire wear due to the fact the tires are 'skdding' over the pavement if too much or too little. In a boat, not the case.

Pat thank you, that backs up my understanding of the initial preload on the toe in, thank you for the clarification. There are lots of different view points on this set point and it is always good to hear it from the builder. I just really want to set it up the way it was ment to run so I am not chasing my tail. Things are coming along nicely and it should be ready in time for the summer. Will keep you posted.
