It may be a little late for a winter project but my drives are off and getting a checkup. I got a call today that one of them was about to come apart. I guess I'm in for a set of gears and bearings. Man I love this hobby!
Here you go.

850's should put the boat well into the triple digits. Probably 110mph or so and will be plenty to destroy the drives and leave stains in your shorts
I know 850 would would be great. I had a chance to sell
most of the parts from them. So now I have everything top to bottom brand new. I know its overkill but what else is there to do?
Im looking for a 37/38 hull with out power.
I'll be looking for Out drives as the wallet lets me. (may be a while)

FYI, My boat had 750-800hp engines when it was originally built at AT and has stellings boxes and it still has the original 1.36 Bravos. It ran 103mph according to the original owner.
