How does the steped 37 run on pure flat water at high speeds over 80, any porpoise or chine issues. I know they love the chop and rough stuff 2nd to none, but just wondered about pure flat water do to the fact that is what i boat on 80% of the time. My 32 runs up to 90mph glued to the flat water, and next step up will be a 37 someday.

bring the boat to me and i am SURE there is 3-5mph in the bottom that is now jacked for sure! there is a ton of stuff we can do and with the engines you have to prob hit the 100mph mark w/o adding power! |

Rssteiny, I run our 37 in Lake erie most of the time and flat water at 80+ the boat carries the bow very nice and is stable as can be, the pic in my avatar is lake erie flat water day running 85 mph full fuel and you can see how it carries the bow nicely, zero porpoise and I have never had a chine issue with the 525 setup, just dialing in the props for the new power now, but it is running awesome for sure. |
talking about rssteiny's boat. bottom work is speed. it's all how much time you want to spend on it! never seen a bottom that couldn't use it!!! doesn't matter if you spend 1/2 mil on a hull, it still needs work. even the 100's of hours i have spent on one hull we always could and would do more after the race weekend.
ps...how u store your boat makes a HUGE difference in the bottom! |

Laszlo, what conditions were you running in to get 89 out of those 29's? The 30's I have on now are damn near perfect...just need to remember not to trim to the moon like I am used to doing with the Bravos. Actually was bumping the rev limiter last weekend running up river to the first card stop, but didn't even think to trim it down. :lolhit:
Best I have seen in HHH conditions under load is 85.3 and suspect an easy 86...once I learn how to run them. Exactly what I was hoping for in these conditions. Probably at least a couple more clicks in fall air with light load of fuel. Love the way these props perform overall. |

Best I have seen in HHH conditions under load is 85.3 on dead calm water, but ran out of room and suspect an easy 86. Exactly what I was hoping for in these conditions. Probably at least a couple more clicks in fall air with light load of fuel. Love the way these props perform overall. |
