Oh yeah... no comparison. The quad cam is a veey cutting edge package. From some internal pics and stuff they utilize Latest race technology. Thats why it surprises me they wouldnt have made some more improvements the the n/a big block.

Has anyone put 6's on the back of a 37? I don't think the XR's or BMAX's will handle 1350 a side........

Would realy like to see the 42 with 1350's and Arnesons. Now that would be a sight to see running.

probably because it would cut into their supercharged engine sales..
Even N/A a quad cam big cube engine would make 650-700hp easily..

The 37 Outlaw race boat had 6's I believe. the 1350's need the M8 drive.

Sync will be nice. Hope the throttle response is as good as a 525. Let us know.
Sure, that is easy to do to a 525.....now warranty it for the guy that will get in his boat and hold it wide open for an hours at a time There are many that are not mechanincally inclined, that buy these boats and run them hard. Increasing cubes and air flow was the safe way to get more power out of this platform, and it probably still soots the transom...which is safe

Say what you will, but I still believe that there are smarter guys at merc than some give credit too.
