Sure, that is easy to do to a 525.....now warranty it for the guy that will get in his boat and hold it wide open for an hours at a time
There are many that are not mechanincally inclined, that buy these boats and run them hard. Increasing cubes and air flow was the safe way to get more power out of this platform, and it probably still soots the transom...which is safe

I just think they could have done better with a BBC based na engine. But I'm not so sure the market is there in this economy.

GM performance is still going strong with lots of 502 block crate engines avail. Blocks will be available forever. Pretty sure 565 is the same just 4.250 stroke. 454 bore (4.250) blocks are gone... hence no 496 anymore. I'm sure the EPA and treehuggers and Obama will figure out how to squash this stuff eventually. Our boats will be required to get 54.6 MPG. Lol
