You guys all missed the boat literally what can i say hah. It sucks but with so few 33 built, when one sells, it kind of sets the market and any buyer is going to use that boat as a comp and in the back of their mind have a hard time paying over what somebody bought another 33 for.

You should mention the seller was fortunate enough to be fairly financially stable with no loan and was ready to move on. I personally was shocked when I saw what he was asking.

It will not set the value on the others. Especially since there are so few unless there is something radically wrong with the boat mechanically. I have no doubt in my mind how it is structurally.

It would be like buying a 37 that was severely damaged and was bought for $25k. It hardly sets the standard.

Well not everything is as it seems on the outside. That boat wasn't even close to the other ones. Therefore that doesn't set the price. For example the two drives that aj bought from your neighborhood off a certain 37 only lasted an hour for one and three hours on the other before they both broke upper gears while cruising at 60. Inspected both drives and serviced both, no metal, everything looked good. Who knows. Seemed like a good deal but was really a waste of $7500! There is no hard feelings... just shows u can't judge value looking at the outside!

It really doesn't matter to me because Remedy isn't for sale and probably will never be for sale.

I put over 20hrs on it before it **** that valve.... It's a good boat just wasn't loved or cared for until I got it sadly. I dont know how long that drive pin had been sheared for. We got 90+ out of it with over a half tank and 3 people on lsc.

You got a good buy on it... you didn't hurt anything.. it was just time for that valve. Has nothing to do with how you ran it. The 525s all have that problem at about 280 hours. If you could have kept it, given time I'm sure you would have brought it up to snuff. It just wasn't cared for like the 3 other 33's. Yes all 3 of them are pristine still. That's not counting the outboard boat.

Seems everything I have seen come out of that camp has been neglected... Notice a trend? Cannot judge other 33's by what one sold for... Too many variables

Which camp?

302Sport and his cronies... Hacked up 33, sunk 37 ended up being in worse condition then advertised, 33AT neglected and motor rebuilds questionable, another poster had bad drives sold to him... The list goes on. It's a Shame.

Wasn't referring to the cult.

Yeah that's what it sold for and the work it needed was very minor. Just a good old cleaning would've done a number on it. It was an 09 that ran 93mph the last day we used it and was used for 3 months a year for 3 summers. How bad could it have been? That's not even one year of use on a south Florida boat...

If it was treated so well, then why would the engines have needed rebuilt in the first place????

Many of the problems with boats are caused by neglect when they are not even being used.

How bad could it have been???? I've seen pics of an 08 boat with 90hrs. It needed about 8k worth of paint and powdercoat work.

Come on man, everybody knows that's Nascar :D
