Certain people's perception of boat prices (that have posted in this thead) are WAY skewed pending all the other boats on the market vs. the one "owned."
|
Very true Brian... hence why I called you about Greg's boat. Thunders boat may be worth it..but too much for my budget
|
Said boat need a really good cleaning $30 FOR BEER AND A COUPLE BUDDIES TO HELP
new bow hatches $500 could have used some touch up work FIGURE $3k MAX a pin on the drive was broken SHOULD OF HAD A SURVEY DONE AND IF IT WAS BROKE IT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN CAUGHT AND IF IT WASNT BROKE YET AND IT BROKE AFTER THE NEW OWNER RAN IT FOR AWHILE, WELL THATS JUST BOATING he might have put 5hrs of actual run time on it before it shat a motor SAME DEAL SHOULDVE SURVEYED IT AND MAYBE IT GOT CAUGHT MAYBE IT DIDNT BUT MOTORS DROP VALVES THATS A FACT IF HE DIDNT LIKE THE BOAT WHEN HE BOUGHT IT THEN WHY'D HE BUY IT?? NOBODY PUT A GUN TO HIS HEAD AND MADE HIM BUY THE THING |

Going off of past sale prices that Ive heard, it would be safe to say that an 09 33 on a trailer, without power (if you figure a used set of 525's to be worth $30K), would be worth about $50K....
|
Said boat needs a lot more than mentioned. Some very expensive parts. The new owner has told me what he is doing and when he is done he will be into the range of what it is worth. Every boat is different and has to be valued on the spot.
I wanna know when a 33 comes up without power for 50 as well... I'll take two! |
You guys all missed the boat literally what can i say hah. It sucks but with so few 33 built, when one sells, it kind of sets the market and any buyer is going to use that boat as a comp and in the back of their mind have a hard time paying over what somebody bought another 33 for.
|
You should mention the seller was fortunate enough to be fairly financially stable with no loan and was ready to move on. I personally was shocked when I saw what he was asking.
It will not set the value on the others. Especially since there are so few unless there is something radically wrong with the boat mechanically. I have no doubt in my mind how it is structurally. It would be like buying a 37 that was severely damaged and was bought for $25k. It hardly sets the standard. |

It really doesn't matter to me because Remedy isn't for sale and probably will never be for sale. |
I put over 20hrs on it before it **** that valve.... It's a good boat just wasn't loved or cared for until I got it sadly. I dont know how long that drive pin had been sheared for. We got 90+ out of it with over a half tank and 3 people on lsc.

Seems everything I have seen come out of that camp has been neglected... Notice a trend? Cannot judge other 33's by what one sold for... Too many variables

Yeah that's what it sold for and the work it needed was very minor. Just a good old cleaning would've done a number on it. It was an 09 that ran 93mph the last day we used it and was used for 3 months a year for 3 summers. How bad could it have been? That's not even one year of use on a south Florida boat...
Many of the problems with boats are caused by neglect when they are not even being used. How bad could it have been???? I've seen pics of an 08 boat with 90hrs. It needed about 8k worth of paint and powdercoat work. |
Come on man, everybody knows that's Nascar :D

Wasn't referring to the cult. Fact is, everyone knew the 37 AT was under water...including the drives....that was no secret.........and the 33, how can anyone bit*h about a used boat when you had the oppertunity to inspect it. Not like it was bought sight unseen.....Reguardless,.....survey,survey,survey. BTW....I really havent heard the owner of the 33 bit*h about the boat,......... just his cronies. ;) |
Come on. Thread closed.
