Glue it, tape it, dont fill up...and wait for the season to end. Is what i would do. If you cant fix it yourself with a case of beer and a weekend. Marine mechanics seem to be on a different timeline than the rest of us. yeaa boating broken/fixed/broken/fixed/broken

i like your style ! me and my buddy GMCHEVYTECH are going to start tear down this weekend . I'm pretty confident we can get the floor removed if necessary and repair/replace the tank . i know its gonna be a big job , but i cant see paying someone $5k or more to do it . worst case , i may have to pay someone to fix the floor properly when we get done .

Slice it out and replace it, since it sounds like you don't have an access panel to get to the whole tank. It's only fiberglass and is easy to fix.
BUT take the time to mask off EVERYTHING first! That dust gets everywhere. Seal off the cabin and mask off everything in the engine room. It's tedious and sucks but is a lot easier than having to try to shop-vac everything after the fact.
If you don't have a dust collector use a shop vac with a drywall dust filter bag (the yellow ones) and have the nozzle in the cutting stream of your grinder/cutting wheel, whatever. The more dust you collect at the source is the less that is getting on your boat, on your body, in your shop, etc.

Have Pat give you the stringer location and cut the floor on center of stringers. If you miss add supports where needed. Its only fiberglass. You will have it done before you know it. Nothing wrong with not glassing it over and leave it as access. SUPPORT it properly.

I was thinking the same thing....if we cut on the center of the stringers, when we go to put it back in, we can lay the peice right back down and will be supported. Then glass where the cut is. Ill take pics as much as i can. Im sure we will have a few questions along the way.
