It's directly under the driver/front passengers' feet. Advantage: 20, 50, 80 mph, it ALWAYS pivots right there; exactly where you expect. We've posted some additional info on this in the past.

I'm old school I guess, speed isn't the end all for me and it is so much easier to get on or off the trailer by myself at the chitty ramps around here.
I would never ever put all that high dollar paint on a boat again either. I get that... I boat in a chitty little river with bad ramps too. Its a pain getting it off trailer sometimes but once you know all the tricks its no big deal. When I go to the ocean or bay... that's when I would never trade.... it rocks!!! Well worth it!!! |

Why would anyone want one without the DDC hull? That step and aft hull is what makes the boat!

I have got to come by one day an see your operation. Need any "Free" fire sprinkler inspections done?

To he honest I just don't like stepped boats. I understand they are faster and more efficient. I have been on quite a few and prefer the feel of a V. I'm pretty sure my next will be stepped and just have to deal with it I guess. Short list is 38 Gun, 36 Glad, 37 AT. Those are the only boats I am interested in unless I go cat. Looks like I'm fωcked any way you look at it haha...

I have eyed up a few straight 37's Mike. Can't afford to go new and would like something from the mid 2000's. Not sure what route I will go. No need for a cabin so a Glad or 35 Motion are the top two pics. Still have a bit before I change it up. I can say I am very impressed with Lazlos 37 so it is a viable option.
|
My list is 37 AT, 37 outerlimits or 43 Black Thunder. Cabin is everything to me. To me a pair of HP 500's is perfect for any of these options. Wait and see....

The bottom is blueprinted and we have her right side up again. We just dropped in the cabin liner for first time fit and 'head-scratching' as to what we are doing at the aft of the liner where it meets the dash bulkhead.

re-tooled the center entry dash as well to accommodate the new, larger GPSs and the vessel view as well as some gauges. All the toggle switches will be up on the verticle panel at the top of the dash and in a more 'waterproof' area form rain and washing.

I see you eliminated the foot rest on the drivers side, probably a good idea, didn't work out with the helm placement anyhow.

The new Mercury Racing 520 might be a good powerplant for the new AT 29!
|
I'd like to see it with 800 HP, but am real anxious to see one with a 525 to see how it compares with the competition

AC/Heat? Fresh Water? Fridge? What kind of cabin and cockpit material? * Stereo mild or ridiculous? * Paint mild, or ridiculous? * * This are not binary answers. |

Looking great Pat! Glad to see Active Thunder building new boats! Every once in a while I miss the smell of fresh sprayed gel coat and fiberglass dust with my morning coffee!! Have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!! Steve

I saw it a couple weeks ago on a surprise visit as well. Thanks for the tour Pat!
Jupiter, I hear you have a new 'neighbor' and fellow power boater with a baby blue 42 Cig with 700s. One of my good friends from SoCal recently relocated to your area in FL. |

Yeah, I know Jupiter Sunsation also...we cross paths now and then at some of the sandbars...In the past few years there have only been a couple Cigs on boat lifts between Palm Beach Inlet and just north of Jupiter Lighthouse...There was also a pretty bad azz Skater Cat for a while just south of Jupiter and there still is an American Offshore 26..With the overabundance of center consoles in the area, us performance boats stand out like a sore thumb!! With my 28' Checkmate being an outboard powered performance boat I get stares everywhere I go!!! lol
