I'll be curious about the results of the lower change

Boat is getting picked up Today to begin the trip Home! If the weather holds, we'll be doing the Clint Memorial run on the Bay this weekend. |

Actually that would be correct. The hyrdrodynamics of these gearcases really make the boat stable and allow using 5-bladers without the speed going in the toilet.
Plus rigging with the new 565s will be easier since we can drop the engine down for fit.

From his testing, what i've been told with the shorter lowers. "92.2 @5300 with worked 5 bladed maximus. Jumps on plane and cruise was 3200= 50 mph. Better cruise and handling than 4 bladed bravos which are a little faster but blow out with the new gearcases and make boat feel loose. Boat is getting picked up Today to begin the trip Home! In general, do these boats respond well to shorties?

Andre,
Just a heads up on your trailer, those open center caps that Manning uses on there trailers hold water inside because they fit tight against the hub. You might want to consider removing them and drilling about 6 1/4" holes around the outside, so in any position the water drains right out. My wheels were ruined by the time I took delivery of our boat, the salt water from testing, got under the clear cote and turned the area around the lugs black. FYI Steve |
