How do you like the new ride? How fast is she so far?

Boat rides awesome :coolcowboy: Didn't push top speed and kept it under 80 as I had flown my 70yr old pops down for his 1st ever poker run and I wasn't risking anything with him on-board but the acceleration is amazing and comes up on plane super quick. I'll get to push it next time I head down.

Thanks. Looking forward to getting some more seat time! In addition to having just a great overall blast at the FPC Miami poker run meeting and hanging out with some great peeps, getting this was a nice bonus touch.

The back story on this......

Taking delivery of our 33 AT.

Here is a little summary of our trip down to Miami in Feb. This was a special trip. I had some friends question why I even went considering I was supposed to go Thursday the 13th but had 4 flights cancelled and didn't get down until 11 pm on Sat 15th which meant I would basically miss the boat show. Obviously, the boat show wasn't the only reason for going but I had kept the real reason a bit under wraps. The Miami boat show is in itself, reason enough for me to go, but there were a few kickers that made this trip even better.

1) We had been working on this deal since April 2013 and this trip was to see the result. The 2nd great thing was I was flying down my Pops who at the very least I owe my passion for boating, to share in the experience. While an experienced boater(Pontoon, and small runabouts), he had never done a poker run, run offshore in performance boat, or real running in a performance boat.

So while we kept the trip festivities and boat running a bit tamer than it could have been since he was with us, I wouldn't have traded it for anything. We also caught up with and met some great folks on this run who I look forward to running with again.

The video is a bit of hack job since I don't really have the patience for the editing needed to do it justice but it's better than nothing.

Andre, your boat is nothing short of gorgeous. If the pics and video posted don't make me want to build again, nothing will.

Boat is still in FL and I haven't been able to get back down to run it due to work but Pat is doing some prop testing for me. I'm bringing it up in a few weeks so hopefully i'll know then once he's got it dialed in.

Actually we ordered a set of the new Mercury Racing short gear cases. Should be released anytime soon.

We are spending a fair amount of time testing different props and drives including the Imco lowers.

How short are they? Shaped like Imco or sport master lower?

They were on static display in the Miami Boat Show on one of the Cigarettes.

They were SUPPOSED To be in the water on the back of Andre's boat during the boat show as well, but Mercury was not quite finished with the innards yet.

In fairness to Mercury Racing we knew it was a 50/50 they would be done. They are an upgrade like the sportmasters so if they enhance the performance as expected Andre will get quite a nice little perk for being patient and allowing me to continue testing.

On another note the drive package will retain full warranty which would be voided if we use the Imcos.

I've never tried the sport masters. I would definitely stick with the merc while under warranty. I'm sure they will be good. Im curious how they do getting on plane. The imcos are drastically different when the x dimension is high and sometimes a pain in the ass. However they are faster everywhere and don't need much trim. They run from neutral to 2.5 above meutral. Thats 5.5 on mine, if you are using same indicator. Carries the bow better and transom is settled in nice at any speed. That's an awesome 33 and I'm sure the liner really improved the cabin. Great paint too! Nice job Pat!
