It's official. Now the details.

Mid-march. Overnight 1 or 2 nights somewhere on the left coast (of Florida).

Who's in? Plans take time so all input is needed and appreciated.

I would love to come , who needs a passenger with gas money ?

I'll be down in late February with the boat in Fort Meyers Beach, so won't be able to make it back the next month. Sounds like a good time though.

Man I wanna do this...................................why does FL have to be so far away? Can't Obama do something about that?

We will be down there off and on in December and January but after that the boat will be back home in the heated shop getting cleaned after a few months of exposure to that toxic water you guys have down there.:popcorn:

We could do probably do weekend of march 14th or 21. :) Depending on schedule will determine if we can do 1 or 2 nights.

We are in.. easy for us, we live here! :) Our preference is the weekend of the 14th.

I cannot think of one good reason to take the boat back to the snow and cold in March! One more month of fun in the Florida sun. I know you want to! I already have your reservation in at the Smallwood B, B & M (and wedding chapel) :)

We're interested, I second the 14th date, it fits right in between the FMO runs. Long range forcast says 85*, Sunny, and 1-2's! Why on earth would anyone bring their boat back north in January? There's something fishy with that kind of logic!

Sorry guys but my calving season will be will be in full swing by the last week of Feb so I'm out then. I'm here 24/7 in case one of my girls needs me.

"More details: If we block/reserve 10+ rooms we will get a discounted rate of $189.00 / night plus $15.00 resort fee and tax. For a suite the discounted rate is $249.00 plus resort fee/tax. They are working on the dockage rate. They have a brand new floating dock opening in January. The lady I am working with was not sure if there would be a charge at all since we are staying there."

Shari couldn't get a real break on the rooms so get on line today and book if you think you want to do it. Not sure how long rooms will last. It's tourist season!

I also booked a slip at the Marina(Tarpon Point Marina). It's a separate entity from the hotel but if your staying at the hotel you get a discount on your slip.
The number for the Marina is 239.549.4900 I mentioned i'm with the Active Thunder group.

Our current plan is to roll up from Naples via water Friday Morning.

Is the Westin/Marina going to just be 'homebase' for the extended weekend, and day trips to places?

If so, where are the daytrips? Bar hopping up and down the coast? Just curious as to the plan; as I may bring my Harley down as well.
