Default Mechanic and surveyor

Hey guys , in need of help. Anyone know of a marine mechanic and or a surveyor in the Williamsport area of Pennsylvania , or a member that checks motors and drives. I found a boat in Pennsylvania that I really like, but won't buy it without having it checked out. I don't know anything about mechanics. Any help would be appreciated.

1) Have you checked here?

2) I know of a guy who I would trust implicitly in Virginia (on the above list), but he doesn't really travel that far. You would have to cover his travel.

3) You could always fly in Ed Cozzi, who has done so for more than a few OSO members in the past.

If you are going to fly anyone in and pay for car and a full check out I possible could tackle this depending on timeframe. I was up in Philly a couple of months checking out a boat as well.

I would need to know the app(s) of all and possible serial numbers - engines / drives and transom assemblies as I can look up all warranty and or recall info original owner and were it was bought and what boat all these were installed in on top of. I have all the scan tools and all the OEM manuals of everything to aid in any form of an inspection. Just throwing it out there.

Forgot to add - I also have free flights around the world with that said If the loads from DFW to PA the closest airport look lite I do not charge for flights. I have to fly stand by for the free flights so it can be a gamble. If they are almost to fully loaded I require a bought flight(s) and of course I can get deals on cheaper paying flights. The free flights have to be an airport that American or old US Air flies into.

Can you believe it, I finally find a mechanic and a surveyor to look at the boat in PA. and the river is too low to launch the boat to do a sea trial. Ugh!! Just venting.
