Thank you and you won't be disappointed in those props. Just got word that the dyno will be getting warmed up on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Thanks!!! Well it was minor upgrades until my OCD kicked in.

bencini231 11-03-2021 10:16 AM

Here's a few updated pics from the last week or so. She's at Young Performance Marine now in good hands with Eddie and Travis, getting ready for all the new upgrades. Pics were before cleaning everything really good, because I had to prove my wife wrong when she said I was to OCD to post pics before cleaning everything really good.

Thank you!! We are looking to hit a few different lakes we haven't been to this coming summer and was going to get a few people together to try out Table Rock Lake. If your available, maybe you could come down and show us around. I'm all in for getting a OSO gathering together for a weekend. Early, mid or late summer will work for me.

Thank you very much!! The attention to detail is one thing I put into every project, but sometimes my wife says I get a little overboard. My wife and a few friends are trying to get me to open up a shop on the side just for updating boats.

Holy crap! I just realized those are 3.8's. How much power do you plan on putting out to those drives? How much will they hold?

I'm only putting out 7.8lbs of boost and have the ability to go to 11lbs if needed. We're going to keep it in the 830 range for now and maybe go higher later on after I get used to the upgraded power. I have new transom assemblies along with IMCO SCX drives ready to be put on as soon as the last bit of rigging, fuel line upgrades and water pickups/dumps are finished. I think the IMCO SCX's are rated for 1000hp, but I also got a pair of drive guardians for added protection.

Absolutely! Always have loved the AT's.

Thank you very much and It's very close to finally being finished. You should really try to make it to Kuttawa Cannonball Run this coming year. It's the first weekend in June and the way it's growing there's no telling how big it'll be this year.

Thank you for the compliment and the excitement is there for sure, especially since it's been about 1 yr and 3 months since I've had her on the water. I owe part of the small detailing to my wife.

bencini231 12-07-2021 07:31 PM

Here's a few things I've finished here lately. The engine hatch is finally painted and ready for the new mirrors to be installed, fire extinguisher is painted and the bracket is powder coated, also here's my new dock mat thanks to Justin and Noah from Waves and Wheels.

Looks great! Does the blue have a metallic flake or anything to it?

bencini231 12-07-2021 07:40 PM

So, I gave Eddie Young a call today to ask a quick question. After I get the answer he I ask what all's going on today and he say well, I'm just drilling a bunch of holes in your boat right now. Glad it's him and not me, because I'd be nervous wreck. Gotta have water pickups for those pretty blue whipples.

Some fuel tank upgrades finished today. Factory pickups vs custom pickups for added fuel flow to feed the 3.8's. Can't believe how restrictive the old ones were.

It does have some metallic in it with a little pearl added as well.

bencini231 12-11-2021 08:08 AM

I like that idea of using those top 2 studs as mounts. Thanks.

Lovin' the attention to detail. Looks great!!

bencini231 01-05-2022 08:01 PM

I was looking at pics of 525's a few weeks ago and was wondering why Mercury used a ugly black plastic pulley for the idler pulley. It got me to thinking about how hard it would be to machine one of these and find a bearing to work with it. Just so happens Hardin Marine has a few custom pulley setups and lists the dimensions on the website. I had Travis measure the factory pulley and compare to Hardin's billet idler pulley, turns out they are identical. They come in polished finish online and then Eddie makes a call to the owner and these show up in blue anodized to match the factory blue pulleys.

So this upgrading is almost coming to a end now. I have received a pics of motor installs and now the new CMI tails have been fitted in to their home, replacing the old silent choice diverters we did away with. Thanks to Donnie @ Offshore Performance Specialties for quick shipment on the CMI parts. I'll be posting a few more pics of the final install now that the SCX's are on and finish reinstalling the hydraulic steering. Add some fluids to everything and then its time to fire them up in the boat finally. Here's a few pics I have for now.

That's been taken care of now, I've got a good set of Timken bearings for them. Those are just what they came with.

Thank you very much!! You should bring yours to Kuttawa Cannonball Run this June 3rd and 4th. It's looking like we are going to have quite a few AT's there this year.

boatfreak 01-11-2022 05:22 PM

I know of 2 more ATs that are interested in coming down for that run but will have to see if it works out. I would love to get down there and check out your old resin bucket lol

It will be a great time for sure if you can make it. Friday is a easy lunch run and raft up and then Saturday is the long run, as well as after party. Well night time at the marina is always a party. lol We will be at Lake Cumberland for the Thunder run a few weeks later as well as the fall poker run.
