ThunderRun III - Destin

roughstuff,
I have a 7 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. My son rides co-pilot in the next seat and we overnight often with our kids. My daughter usually sits in the back with my wife and it is very comfortable. My wife and I sleep in the main area and the kids sleep in the v-berth, it is perfect....
tbikini,
I hear ya, but never too young to run with the AT crowd.
Are you thinking about bringing them on the run? How do they do on the boat?

Tbikini, Don't show your daughter the picture of you with the pitcher of beer
I see on the other thread that it is too late for the double margaritas!
Seriously though, your kids would be welcome on the run... I have always felt boating was a family thing. Your kids should meet and get to know the "Thunder Family" We will just keep an eye on them when they are around "Uncle Jeff"
If you want we might be able to arrange a babysitter for an evening, you know just so you can get out and keep your party animal title
I am sure Corey knows 1 or 2 teenage girls.... we could get to sit!
All,
Check out this link to the place we are thinking of staying. They have a marina on site.
http://www.bayclubofsandestin.com/main.html
Internet prices show $135. for a 1 bedroom condo and $195. for a 2 bedroom. Both also have pull out sofas. On Travelocity they also show an efficiency for $100. a night. I am going to contact them and see if they can do any better on the rates for a group
These are much better rates than at the Hilton and they are closer to the boats.
Here is the link to the marina

The village at Baytown Wharf is new. It opened last summer. It is a very nice place with several bars, restaraunts, bars, shopping and did I mention bars? all within walking distance....
The web site shows the marina price at $1.75 a foot. I have sent the marina manager an email asking about group rates or discounts if we are staying at either the hotel or condos.....
I am also checking availability for either the weekend of the 22nd or the 29th....

They both look great. Anything to get away from this cold weather. I would prefer to be close to the boat, so the first one sounds a bit more appealing to me, but hey what do I know. It really does not matter too much to me. Let me know if you need my help in any way. Say hello to Bob and Corey for me.

We stayed at the first location but on the Gulf side, Beachside II, it was awesome, had a great time. Destin is awesome, great resturants, great atmosphere, everything is realativly close to the area, it will be a blast.
