Forward Bilge Drain Plugs
#1
James (Excursion) mentioned to me he has forward drain plugs on his 37 AVH near the step.
Can these be added? I would like to add probably two, guessing on either side of a main center stringer, right behind the step of my 37 AVH. The forward bilge pump does not do the best job of emptying the forward bilge area, and I get some water that creeps forward into my two forward center storage compartments.
Any information?

Hey Brain,
off the topic....it was nice seeing you over at Tims 2 today. Sorry I did not get out before you left to see Monsoon up close. We were still partying up on the deck from a Hurricane Party that started the day before.
Hope to catch you next time.
Full Tilt is having a Fun Run the weekend of August 28th if your interested. Call Dee for info. A few of us is meeting at either Tims 1 or Occaquan and running to Tims 2 then to Gilligans for lunch, then to Coles Point for dinner and spend the night and run back on Sunday.

Yep, good to see you too Adam.
I am contemplating a few things on the 28th, maybe the CBPBA North Poker Run. Not sure yet. I am travelling each of the next three weeks, so schedule is tight. I will be at SML next weekend. How far past Gilligan's is Coles Point? If I stay in town, I will probably tag along.

Brian-
you can get to Coles Point from Gilligans in about 30 minutes or so at cruise speed.
It is located on the Virginia side after Cobb Island and before Raggy Point.
They have covered slips, and restaurant (that is now open), a small outside tiki bar, and a small bar inside. Very nice little place to relax and party. Just let me know if you or anyone else is interested or call Dee at Full Tilt in Woodbridge about the "Fun Run".

Brian,
If you are going to do that draw a center line and figure the keel stringer plus laminates (fiberglass) will be about 2 1/4" wide. I would draw a line parellel to the V of the bottom about 2 inches up and then punch the holes.

Pat, thank you. Both Rich and I need to install these. Do you have info on which drain plugs you use? Exact same as the silver ones I have on Monsoon already?
