Advantage Citation
I have an Advantage Citation with a 454 Carb and i turn my 24 4 blade at 4850-4950. If i go to an EMI thunder exhaust with a lab finished prop will i gain approx 5mph. I think i am around 62mph now but i havent had a gps to verify.

I know a guy with a new 25 Citation with a 496HO that just put the CMI headers on it and picked up 3 mph. I know thats a different motor and everything, but I think the 496 is more potent when adding these kinds of upgrades. I'd say you might pick up a couple mph throughout the entire rpm range but I don't think it'll be as much as 5mph.

So far the fastest is 85. Its kind of a battle between props and handling...the props with lower slip % tend to cause handling issues with this hull. It'll run a very comfortable 80 on any day any weather. Overall its a great boat and a great package. If you're looking for a single engine V bottoms with big power though, I'd say look at some different companies because the 27 really wasn't built for this. Advantage has been great to work with though and they do build a really nice boat.
