LOL i have the blower in the back seat of the truck, the cylinder head in the back seat of the truck on the floor, the intake on the floor and all new rocker arms and bolts etc and I need to find someone to setup the rockers (everyone tells me jessels are a real nightmare to setup)
I had a major problem with a lifter not going back into its bore after thecam pushed it out when the rockers broke. I ended up with a file and filed a burr out of the block and the lifter went right back in. Also had a rag soaked with oil under the lifter bore to catch the filings. it worked the lifter now slides right into the bore without a problem. I expected to see the piston or valves damaged and i found no such issue. Everything looks fine. Like somehow the lifter got hung up in the bore and thats what caused the rocker to break. the mechanical lifters are fine as well but I got a new set anyway. i need to figure out what head gasket I need and find someone to bolt the jessels back onto the head and get new blower, intake, head, exhaust gaskets and ill be good to go. These dart pro 1 aluminum heads are juist SICK, i picked up the head by holding onto the valve stem inside the intake runner and carry it around like that when I put it in the truck my whole hand fits inside the intake runners
i want to spend some time cleaning up and polishing the blower and to my surprise it does not even need teflon strips those are perfect too, lobes are shiney and dont efven have any black soot on them
one clean internal engine thats for sure
Just have to find someone to setup the head and ill try to get this zipped back together soon.
anyone know what the cost is to setup a head? Never took off the other head, that side looks fine so its just the one head that needs to be setup and installed on the block or mayve I can do that. I am still trying to recover from not having a job for 7 months so money is really tight at the moment.
Anyone want to speculate on what the cost of installing a set of rocker arms cost> everyone tells me these jessels are a real pain in the ahole to do so I am in need of an engine builder.

Jay, the lifter probably spider cracked near the axle and caused it to get hung up in the lifter bore. I've seen it happen many times. Try to make a habit of replacing the solid roller lifters either every season or every other season. I do mine every other season but my cam isn't very radical.
Usually the lifter fatigues/breaks, gets hung up in the bore as the piston comes up and slams into the valve, bending the pushrod and breaking the rocker arm. Be sure to run a hone thru the lifter bore and check clearance before putting it back together.

Had the sonic in some 4 footers last weekend and it loved getting on top of them...that is until we ran out of gas..the boat turned downstream and the waves stareted comeing up on the back swim deck lol.....evidentally the newly installed fuel regulators are a little defective but got it fixed. My boat just sits so low in the water compared to others. When trying to get on plane back passengers look like they are in the parted seas
