Re: Looking for a 41 Apache

Thanks,and I appreciate any connections.
I am really looking for an older 41(or a TG,but really want a 41) for a winter(or lifetime, depending how you look at it) project. I prefer to have my own motors built as I have seen and heard too many horror stories and prefer to know what I have in the pocket.
I am really looking for more of a project. Thanks to the guys that have sent me PM's,I appreciate your response.

Re: Looking for a 41 Apache

Are you looking for a pleasure, race, 3-pack, 6-pack, S/S, short or full stagger?

You have to be cautious buying one of these old girls. I've seen stringer separations, delaminated sections on bottoms, rotten transoms , bad fuel tanks and more.

There are some exceptionally solid, well-known boats out there for sale- you may be better off buying one of those (price-wise that is) than redoing one from scratch. Especially if you want a top-shelf ride. refitting an old, beaten #3 boat will cost almost as much as a new one from McManus.

Search on the user name "el Indio". Mark is talking about selling his 3-pack, full-stagger, race-layup boat. One sweet ride.

Yep, wish I had a nickle for every user name he has had here on OSO, I'd be a rich women, instead of the bitter old woman he claims me to be :D

In spite of how he started his own site to bash OSO it is apparant he can not live without it, so I wonder if anyone would care to take bets on what his new OSO name will be :D Hmmmm maybe I should start a new thread on ideas for new names :D

:evilb: Now that's too funny. It's about time somebody exposed him on here. He's been wasting everyone's time here about buying something that he can only dream about.

He'll buy an Apache right after he buys OSO from Steve. LMFAO :drink:
