was for sale for a while, with engines, then without, not sure what happened in the end... nice boat for sure!

It's in California being gone through. Really a shame to see that fantastic paint job be scraped away but I'm sure a just as nice paint scheme will follow....And I'm not too sure how that dash extensions going to look but I guess we'll wait and see...

Our customer brought us this Apache 41' with the full intention of doing a full blown restoration. The list of modifications is long and will include a full cap of the entire boat, a new dash, new transom, as well as fixing 41 feet of wavy sides. It is a major undertaking and will be a several month process that will get its final paint job from Billy B in Upland, CA. The plans for the boat include two Gentry 1,500 hp twin turbo motors, number 6 drives, and a custom interior. We are excited about the opportunity to work on a project of this magnitude and can't wait to see the final result. Follow along as we begin the work.

We began the process by doing a full tear down. The boat was rumored to be an old drug running boat, and hundreds of gallons of extra fuel tanks points to that being very true. All of the hardware including all of the tanks and internal hardware must came out before we can begin the repairs. Once this process is finished we will plan out our course of action on fixing all of the issues.

With hundreds of holes to patch, the filling and sanding process is in full swing. Every hole, crack, scratch, and chip is being repaired. The process of capping the boat has also been started and all of the glass has been laid, with sanding to follow. The old dash configuration did not allow for any type of large instrumentation or a GPS unit so a new dash extension has been built and will be completely filled with gel coat to look like it was part of the original design in the boat. The entire transom has been reworked and filled to allow for a new exhaust setup and the tank area has been sanded and filled to give room for new style tanks.

The grinding continues as we get closer and closer to getting the side of the boat straight. The more we work, the more issues we are finding that need to be corrected. The new dash extension has been completely molded in and we re-glassed the outer shell of the hatches. We are almost finished getting all of the low spots and waves out of the side. Progress is slow, but steady.
