Hey Sean, hows life man...Long time to see (or hear).

The re-build is being done by a very well respected place called Islander Marine. A sleeper shop out here that produces some amazing work. They're kind've known for working on Schiada's but have put their talents into various boats and from what I've seen of the amazing work they've turned out in the past, I can't wait to see this Apache done! I have a feeling it's gonna be right up there with the sickest Apache's around. Capped deck, Twin turbo motors, full re-build....Crazy.

I agree with others, the fairing extension scares me a bit (reminds me of the fairing on 'Cold War') but if you look at the pic of the fairing glassed in with the guy standing in the boat working on it, maybe all is not lost....I'm sure it'll turn out nice.

You have any pics of the boat in its original skin? What was it before. I see a lot of blue under that paint.

I like to see the classics restored to the way they were originally. I guess we will see how this ends up.

no no no no no... can't believe this boat was du for a complete resto! I'm sure I've seen boat in more need of resto than this one...

I have nothing against complete resto, since one of my first sport boat was a total project... why? to get an old boat look like a newer one, but not having to spend the money...

In this case (sacred ground), I doubt the owner is grinding and sanding himself... so, thinking of the amount of $ spent in a project like that, why not buy a newer boat? lighter, faster, with smaller engines for reliability so on and so on ... ???

I think the simple answer is: he could've bought something but it wouldn't have been an Apache.:drink:
