[QUOTE=sakoutis3;2112052]I bought a new Concept 3 years back and it had maininance issues right out of the box. A freind bought a brand new Outerlimits 51 and same thing. I agree start with fresh but with boats its still the same. I don't know how you guys deal with 20 year old boats mine are all relativly new good thing I own more than one this way I'm never boatless on the weakend.[/Q

great point.this is why i have a bare bones boat..less stuff.less stuff to maintain..keep it simple....also 8600 lbs.wet.unique weight for a 41..the new powerboat has a 42 tiger over 10k lbs.over 700k...cya....

This is HP boating, if you're not into it get a Sea Ray.

Been there done that, got the T-shirt... Thanks for sharing.

I've seen what my father went thru growing up and now I'm the next generation. I guess it's just in my blood. I may not have 50 years myself but with my fathers experience and now mine on my own, I think it's plenty.

As a matter of fact, my father an I were just talking about his turbo motors he had back in the mid 70's. He burned pistons in his motors 3 times in one season....by forgetting to put water in the water injection tanks because he had a few too many... It made me feel better about my own blunders...

Basically you're just spewing chit for the sake of spewing chit.

Like I said you don't know the boat, I don't know it that well either. I think the front tanks may have been replaced already, but over the years it tough to rememeber everything that been done on a boat that you don't own and only speak with that person maybe once or twice a year.

That boat was a big part of the owners life, it was part of what made him, or at least his rep up here, what it was. I haven't spoken to him at all in the past few years, I know his health hasn't been too good and probably what is forcing the sale. My thoughts only.

I just find it pretty low to trash someone especially in light of the health issues this guy faces. When you were down and out you had a lot of support, to turn around and to do this just makes you a piece of chit. Don't give us the crap "I didn't know", how about just being a decent human being.
