I think the boat runs great. The engines are actually 1200's and it runs well over 100. It's a very solid safe feeling boat the thing that impresses me most is how it handles the ruff nasty snot even when the wind is whipping. No hollow thuds or hard reentries with this boat. I think it's safe to say that the people who originally built and designed this hull were way ahead of their time. With some modern rigging and hp it's not to far off from most modern v's it's size. I think it would be hard for most to beat in the ruff stuff 4-6'.

Where do you normally run the boat?

Offtopic;
A guy I know has a 50 footer US built powerboat and he junked both those options and Arnesons, made his own beefier Surface Drives and put Russian Tank T-72 engines in them at 1650hp a piece.
All aluminum, 4 valve centrifugal charged.. no Turbos..yet...you donīt need them with a 39 liter displacement...oh the props... 20X44 which still are too small...
I thought Iīm crazy...
And the Sailors give him the one finger salute evertime he fires away ...
