i read this whole thread, the history on this boat is awesome.. sounds like a typical weekend at Edock, minus all the popo! I wish i knew the history of my boat like this one has!

UJ, I'm curious how everything internally looked when you got it apart? Bock, Heads, bearings, rods, springs, pistons etc.???

The motors looked good, just what I was told one was fresh, both motors had great parts in them. They also both had fresh dart heads.

Just basicly a freshen up and go....The worst part was the three layers of pink, purple, and hot pink paint!!!


Here is a couple of shots from the weekend, got one motor together and some holes filled in the bilge and some painting done!!!

The boat is in a million pieces but it has come a long way, this week we will be painting all the brackets and motors!!! NO MORE PINK OR PURPLE!!!!!

Boat looks great, resto is coming along great, and There is nothing wrong with pink:cool-smiley-011:, Just call it Magenta like I do!

If ours wasn't so damn pink I would call it magenta! :D

Now that we've had the boat for a while the pink doesn't bother me anymore. We hope that next winter when we attempt to fix some of the paint on the sides that we don't loose the entire scheme like we did this winter when we attempted to do the bow/fairing.

Slow weekend on Project Apache, but the Cig is now ready for the season!!!! As far as the the Apache we have both motors back together!!

Well it is going....Gimbles, drives and tabs are all painted. The back of the boat will be back together soon!!!!!!

I just hope that the summer does not slow me down to much, but I will post some more pics asap!!!! Thanks for all the support!

The dude who owned the boat previously had a few others and kept trading up. Each was called "Paper Boy". The dude was suppose to be a big cig finatic. Rice Hauler told me stories how he was really cool & down to earth. I think he even gave him his first ride in one.

I met the "Paper Boy" flying home from FL many years ago. He said he has owned many cigs and owned the Biddeford-Saco Paper Company in Maine. He and his dog fly down to FL almost every weekend. He seemed like a good guy.

Must be him because on the side near the helm is a three inch black lab painted.

Just been in Destin with the Cig sooo project Apache has had a few weeks off. But we will be back on it after the fourth!!!

After taking the summer off, we are back on project Warrior.
