You are in florida.... you could go see. Then you would know.
I haven't seen it. I just started keeping track of the 28s recently.

WTF? In the bulkhead thread you said you looked at that boat in person. Now you said you didn't look at it. You have some very strong comments regarding that boat, despite the fact you've never seen it Come to think of it you have nothing but negative things to say about every other 28 apache since you got yours shined up, including mine. Just how much experience do you have with 28 apaches when you paid someone to do all the fiberglass work and sold it after it broke down on the first two runs?

Look guys - if you like the boat - go look at it. If your too far away see if an OSO member will stop by and take a look. If you have questions regarding the construction of the 28 and common problems talk to Bob Saccenti, or Eric Froberg. Both are very accessible. Take these forums with a grain of salt.

any and all input is welcome.

Thanks guys!

I went into mine doing the exact same thing. Hoping it would be a "small project" and hoping it would last while I did the work. I did expect to pay for new engines, I just didn't expect it to happen so soon. The few trips I did get to make was the time of my life and I've been boating since I could walk. I remember one rough day when there was little to no one on the water we parked in a cove by a brand new 08 47ft fountain. When they left all 8 guys had their gaping eyes set on my little 28. Over the course of the summer I had numerous boats chase me down from skaters to brand new cigs. Of course they smoked me - but the boat got the attention it deserves.

I'd do it all over again if I had the choice, but I also have a second boat. For me, I could spend $100K on this boat and it would be worth every penny.

Nancy tries to be nice as he can now that he is the house boy of OSO, but he can't help himself. He craves attention.

Since Nancy wants to keep Bill honest and everything:

If Nancy could spend 100k on that boat he would have engines.

He says that they have been pulled, but we doubt it highly. They are in the bilge where Nancy left them. Pooched.

The second boat the he mentions... is that the sea ray that he said on a different thread belongs to his folks?

Again you guys avoid the topic by belittling me and my boat. I guess I need to go take a pic of my engine bay

Lets stick to the facts cupcake - you don't know any more about that boat than the guy who was asking about it.
