War Party!! 95K

Yup, then the boat sat for like 3 years. Jason and I used to hang out every weekend, and turn wrenches either on my pile of junk, or his, and although he was very outspoken on the website, was actually a good guy in person. Around the same time as the rocker issue I had some Family issues with my Dad sick on the other side of FL, and made frequent weekend trips across the state leaving no time for weekend wrenching sessions. I continued to finish my pantera as time allowed, and we only spoke occasionally, his interest changed to fixing up and old Firebird he had. Then he moved back north for employment, and the boat is up North with him, havent heard how he made out with the engine repair.

It's his boat, we should care less what he does with it. If he was really unhappy about it, I bet he would have sold it by now. Just my $.02.

What's really a shocker to me is how Jay always gets crap about his boat being broken while others on this site have, no boat, non-running boats and in some cases no engines and they've been sitting around collecting dust for as long as Jays, if not longer, and throw in their jabs.

I got an email from the woman who listed it for the guy,she told me that the guy is retiring and downsizing and thats why its for sale. As far as "No Reservations" 41 I don't think he really wants to sell he won't answer emails or return phone calls. He is still out there running it hard.

I was under the impression that he had already pulled the motors from the 41'.
As far as deals on pleasure 41's the one that PBB just sold was the one to get and still have money left to update it how you like. http://www.performanceboatbrokerage....sp?boat_id=264

If my deal doesn't go through on Medicine Man i will try to get a hold of Andy again. I saw the survey on the one they just sold at PBB,its going to take some work to get it out on the water again. It had alot of electrical issues just for starters.

Last I talked to Andy he wanted to sell no reservations because he bought his canopied race boat. Send him a PM on here under viperfitness and he should get back with ya. I saw him briefly at the shootout after he lost a prop in passing at the 7mm. Looks like they are racing in clearwater this weekend according to post #28 below

As far as cash I was figuring she went out the door in $50's and War party probably wouldn't go for much less than $90K before someone grabs it up. So I saw a little $ sitting there to work with. At the time I looked at it I was actually comparing it to the jester boat and how much it would take to get it in that condition.
I'll keep my 36' for the moment. We put 60-80 hours on her a season and mild powered efi's fit our current needs better than big big blower mills.

The 41 that Brett sold went to Chicago, I see it is listed again for 95K, hard to believe.
That boat would need to get brought down to the bare hull and do a total rerig not to mention a fair bit of structural fibreglass work. As I was the one that paid to have the survey done, which I'm glad i did, as it saved me a waisted trip, there were many things that stood out in just the pics that were not right. I won't go into detail about it on here, if anyone is looking at buying that boat feel free to give me a call.
Brett was good to deal with, the boat just needs everything to be right, not what i wanted to start with.
Can it go to the water the way it is -- maybe -- but i would not trust any of it the way it sat.
Guess it depends what someone wants, a 41 on a trailer and the captain crossing his fingers, or a 41 ready to do what it should be able to do.
It all comes down to money and time in the end!
