Apache Renegade? Same boat without steps.

The Maximum Thunder Renegade had two forward-ventilating steps.
BTW they used the same pic as NewTech for advertising.

I think there were something like 3-4 boats pulled from those molds back in the late 90's. One had diesels, the Chief and I think another one and one unrigged.

I didn't know that, How did the others perform. This really looks like a sweet hull. I'm sure if needed it can be tweeked in the mold.

may someone correct me if i am wrong, is that not the original 35 cig. I know this is the result of of the plug being lengthened a few times. my self and nick put that crease in the hull side for don at cigarette during construction of the 35 hull plug. later we lengthened it to 39. originally the width on the plug was 9 ft. don changed his mind so we cut that crease and added back the side pulling them into 8ft . less wind pressure and trailer width, 8 ft.

If the Squadron 39 came from the 35' Cig than I would say that is the case.

The 36' Apache and deck were made to compete with the 35' Cig from what I was told. It's not a splash but it was made to compete with it and give extra head-room. As we all know, Bobby bought the 41' Apache mold from Don and the 41' Apache was born. Later Ben Kramer @ Apache Powerboats had an agreement with Bob Saccenti @ Apache Boats to pull a plug from a damned 41'. The plug then modified by Bob Saccenti's crew @ Apache Boats to add rocker and a raised deck was made, then the 36' was born. This 42' has a stretched Apache 36' deck mold with the 42' Chief/NuTech bottom.

IMO the best of both worlds would be a new bottom ( Steps ) and an oldschool Hull otherwise including the deck. You can't go wrong with the old school flatdeck style... just my 2cents.
The new styles with round fairings and windscreens just don't look right. Swimsteps.. you wan't swimsteps.. well Stainless frame with teak planking still is the most comfortable and proven to work. No need to re-invent the wheel here. Out there when the going gets tough you need something that has proven to work. Just look at Commercial stuff.
