correct it was at lake x. this boat had the motors redone by innovation marine a few years back supposed to be 600 s now

If I remember correctly, back then Hustler came out with the 388 slingshot. When I met Paul/Mike Fiore at the NYC boat show they told me the boat was built to run the fastest possible speed with 500's. The Apache/Saccenti 36' step design was very close to the same speeds the Hustler ran. As a matter of fact, I remember being at the SBI race in NYC where the F2-36 won. Both of these pictures were taken from my boat in the harbor.

My buddy was trying to bid on this boat as well and didn't get it... I probably would have bought the hull from him and swapped my stuff over to move up the technology ladder.

On the 36' I'd say it was more than 10+ mph with 500's but I'll leave a few mph on the table and just agree!
