So, is it fair to say that on the 36/37' the twin step is good for 10 mph vs the same boat with a straight bottom? Makes me want to send mine to bobby and have him add a couple steps.

On the 36' I'd say it was more than 10+ mph with 500's but I'll leave a few mph on the table and just agree! If I remember correctly, back then Hustler came out with the 388 slingshot. When I met Paul/Mike Fiore at the NYC boat show they told me the boat was built to run the fastest possible speed with 500's.

The Apache/Saccenti 36' step design was very close to the same speeds the Hustler ran. As a matter of fact, I remember being at the SBI race in NYC where the F2-36 won. Both of these pictures were taken from my boat in the harbor.

My buddy was trying to bid on this boat as well and didn't get it... I probably would have bought the hull from him and swapped my stuff over to move up the technology ladder.

Impressive displacement as well. I'd bet that is 2k lbs less than mine.

i have no problem taking it apart .for the right $$ ill keep the power and drives .ran both motors today and they run perfect .everything seems to work in the boat and arch removed today as well as all decals .needs to be buffed and new apachee decals and she will be a twin to team apachee
