That is awesome i had no idea that was how they made a new boat mold!! Steve, who does all the modeling work? and do you know what software they use? just curious and keep the pics coming this will be a interesting thread to follow.

I've never seen a CNC that big. Incredible how that's done. Sure is a lot more precise that than the old days.

Thanks; the new Deck is exciting to watch come into reality the design was done "In-House" using the Machine is a giant step in time and labor the precision is unreal which leaves only the fine finishing and molding left to us...

cool pics Steve. What kind of foam(?) is that and what do you guys use to coat it to give it a hard shell when its done? I figure from my own experience that resin would eat right through it if you jst put it right on top?

How long has this process been available for a project of this size and/or affordable to boat builders ? A real six sigma type process !!!!

I don`t believe that epoxy resin eats foam.

well maybe it was the cheap stuff i was useing at teh time fixing holes in my jetskiis!

Even though Machines cut these things People still have to provide the finial finish..AND that can be very bad or very Good depending on the experance of the crew.
