Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
If I remember correctly there was a 41 or 47 by the name of Apache Warrior in the Red Bank New Jersey area. This was back in the late 80's early 90"s. I always liked the paint. the ower had a 40+"boat by the name "Purple Warrior".

Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
there was an all blue 47 that was called CRAZY HORSE B. It had some sort of roman horse carriage on the side with OCTAVIAN written under it. but i'm pretty sure that the name on the transom was CRAZY HORSE B. Any info on that boat? Once again, it was all dark blue...

here's "five star one", a 41 redone in 2003. has Chief 950s with #6 drives. located in the south of france. for sale at approx. US$ 170 000.
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Super T was that 47 in europe? If so it sounds like the one that was dropped and Mark put a new hull under it in 1998, and is now all white and being redone here in muskegon Michigan.
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
pretty sure that 47 was in europe, in st. tropez to be precise. it was used for ads in european magazines so i'll try to find some photos. not easy though, this was circa 1990 and while I do keep most of my mags, this was a looong time ago...

any info about this one? a 41 named SAM; twin Chief 850s on #3 drives. was in st. tropez as well. awesome pic, one of my personal favourites.
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
SAM has#6's and is know HAMMERHEAD and is still in St. Tropez last I knew, it needs a complete restoration. I went there to buy it in the spring of 2004, it was a massive disappointment. So I bought to 41 I always wanted and enjoyed watching race.

Nykamp, is she still for sale? Do you have any details, price? Does she still have Chiefs?

Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
BTW, the new Apache built by McManus that was exhibited in Miami last year and called TSUNAMI was also spotted in St. Tropez this summer. Grey-silver paint, #6 drives and I believe Teague (?!) motors. I have a pic somewhere...
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Super T. HAMMERHEAD may still be for sale, I don't know. It was surposed to have Cheifs but they looked more like KE's and she needs a full rebuild and rerig and glass work and repaint, which should be done by the MASTER him self Mark McManus. SAM has always been in europe starting with Italy, then France, so I thought it would be cool to bring her home to the US. I understand TSUNAMI is back at APACHE but St. Tropez is her home port, and it does have Teagues,I her she has alot of hours on her already.
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Nykamp, who was selling HAMMERHEAD? Was it SPORTMER or MERCURIO?
I have no trouble believing that TSUNAMI has a lot of hours. I've seen the boat running around St. Tropez quite a few times last summer. It looked like it has a taller fairing than original 41s. Awesome nonetheless. Thanks for the info. ST |
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
I was dealing right with the owner from England, it was at MERCURIO. He also ones another all black 41 , and used to own the 47 RUNNING BRAVE, which has just been totally restore at APACHE.

Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
The guy that bought Tsunami has LARGE coin!!! He threw a party to 'welcome' his boat. Bob Teague delivered it personally to St. Tropaz and partied like a rock star at the mansion. As I recall the guy had fireworks and a sh!t load of people show up. That's how you welcome the newest Apache!!! :drink: :drink:
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Dunarunner, you have any more pics of Tsunami running that aren't into the sun?? That boat is drop dead gorgeous!!
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Hammerhead was left like that for a number of days.
The sinking of this boat i am not sure how this happend, there were many heavy swells hitting the beaches this summer and heavy trafic. Other shots will follow of a couple of apaches to add to this post . Bob Teague was driving the tsunami for your information.shot at St Tropez. |
