Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Sweet I have never seen that one before it is differnt than the one I thought it was, I had heard that there was a couple of them over there, she looks really clean. What motors and drives? The one I thought it was a 1995 that had the aluminum race faring option and had Merc 800, and 3A's orginally. The 1995 has the same paint without the indian head overlay. Thanks for the pictures, any shots of 5 STAR 1? Is HAMMERHEAD STILL over there?

Hey NyKamp this completes the couple.
The previous post Are Qaudri racing engines with teague platinums yes broken Drives this season but the engines did 186 hrs. Yes Hammerhead is near St Tropez. No shots of Five Star One, the boat worked well this season and is having work done now. |
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
How did the extension boxes work on that boat?
I see IMCO Extremes on the back..... :( Don't feel bad, I broke two this year on my 36 behind 720 hp motors... |
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!

Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!

Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
That is an awsome looking 36, is it an 1998? Love to see they are as loved overseas as they are over here, love your 35 Cig.
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Thanks NyKamp. Here in France its hard to Keep these boats running.
Anything over 500HP is Rare, Mainly due to poor local service . It goes from being a passion to a full time job just to jump in the boat and go. Anyway the need for speed prevails. Believe me the 35 cig was alot of work the 36 Apache as well. |
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Great pics, with it being so tough over there, seems a performance marine mechanic would be pretty busy. Do you do all your own work or is there someone that does it for you guys?
|
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Hey Offshoredrillin.performance marine mechanics what here. LOL yeah
Every time u get a mechanic on the boat it goes slower, or dont go atall. I nearly threw in the towel 3 years ago.found a good engine builder 1500 Km in another country.and to keep my own boats runnin employed a full time mechanic just to get on the water. thats what it takes In France This is no bulls%%t.thats why new boats go back to the USA. |
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
Dunarunner is that 36 yours? John Pompi used to leave in France, just to take care on Sam and Running Brave, sweet job.

I came accross this picture of my first 41 in 1987 in Saugatuck. Merc 575's and #3's got it to just over 70 MPH.
Repowered with G&G 700's, but couldn't get to 80. Later became the infamous ""Egg Boat" of Tommy Hofstetter/?Everglades Marina fame. |
Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!
ApachePete...nice classic 41! Love the older Apaches with single stripe like yours.

Offshore drillin. One good mechanic to deal with High perf boats would make alot of people happy. But sadly this is not the case here, and yes you are right.! |

Actually, the water was very LOW then. Four feet below where it is today. Bad erosion problems. But gas sure was a bargain! |

I dont know how I missed looking at all these pages..... Brian giving us a ride in "Geronimo" in the summer of '94 or '95.... I still remember that like it was yesterday, we came out of Delaware inlet and ran south to the Ocean City inlet with a 35MPH wind to the face kicking up 7-8 swells from the South. Jenny's Express was next to us and BoatPix taking shots overhead.... Thats me in the far back seat 10 years ago.... Awesome Memorable Ride.. :evilb:

Re: Apache pics! NO ARGUING!!!!

Did they put Lamboīs in it since it has 8 exhaust holes ? Did you take more pictures of it ? There will be no boating here for the next 4-5 month    When does the season start down there ? |
