Thanks, Dean Gellner built the 572/930's,they sound incredible, 3a's, half cabin. Norm Acker at Bay Performance is doing the paint . Gil Lieber did a awesome job rigging and redoing the mechanicals.I highly recommend all this guys, no complaints at all.

Still Water is that the Budwieser 41 that sits across from Wicked Won? It has almost the same cockpit as the one for sale on boattrader with a side cockpit entrance. What drive train? Is it staggered?

It is the boat that sits across from wicked won, but its not the Budweiser 41 boat. It is the boat in the advertisement and the picture along with the new cockpit picture. When I have some time I'll get some more pictures on. The drive train is 582/720hp United Racing Engines with #4's. It originally had 3's but when it was redone at McManus #4s were put on and tested at Lake X. The boat runs 78 and has a full cabin. It was a light boat and still only weighs 11 thousand pounds with the cabin. There is another boat in my area but I don't belive thats the Budweiser 41 boat either. The original paint on that just said Team Apache. Its an earlier boat then mine. Mine is number 12 hull. It is a staggered boat.

Did Mark redo her in the mid 90's? It has the same cockpit as Heart Racer. Sweet looking boat, bring her to Roger's gather in sandusky this summer, looks great Mark does AWSOME work. Steve

hammerhead is for sale again. asking around $120K. being advertised with chief 900s and #6s. They say 1 hour on engines, over 85 tops. Any truth in all that?

I saw that too but after hearing that it sank in 2005 and was under for quite a while I would not want it. I belive the engines where 850´s but maby they upgraded them a little.

I know you guys mostly are into the bigger ones but probably 8 yrs ago or so (before this site was around) I was out looking at boats and I saw this boat , said Apache all down the side in Apache script.....looked to be about 28ft or so.......I thought about enquiring but the interior needed to be all replaced.....it had twin smallblock chevys and Volvo drives which seemed a little wierd to me......it had real nice lines though.....flat transom......it also had this 1ft wide bulkhead btween the cabin and the v berth with a sink in it........does all that sound like an Apache???........I thought of getting it as a project and might have if it had bigblocks and Mercs......doug

Yep probadly a Bobby built 28, I have never heard of one with Volvo drives but it could be, you never know. The 28's are a great boat and they are rare, I don't think there is a single one for sale in the whole US.
