It was a shot of the banner boat from the rear 3/4 qtr view with the whole boat flying through the air after hitting a huge wave. Everyone on board was in full race gear. If anyone has this photo in good quality so I can use as a background please e-mail it to me [email protected] or post in this thread.
Thanks

Anybody....

Just think about it .

Trim makes a lot of difference, it controls the attitude of the boat as it enters the air. Gravity and inertia take over from there.

I'm somewhere in the middle on your thinking.... Adding 150 to the stern of an Apache that weighs between 10K and 13K lbs isn't going to make much of a difference. What will make a noticable difference is adding that 150 lbs to the bow. IE the forward bow tank or as in pleasure version Apaches with cabin liners.... They don't run well with the forward tank full in calm water but they do run well with it full in rough water. :ernaehrung004:

As far as dialing-in, my buddy spent a boat-load of money having the CG of his 36' Skater race boat dialed in so the boat could run its fastest with neutral trim in varying water conditions (balanced)... Funny thing....they just happened to have won the world championship that year. :ernaehrung004:

There are a lot of Apaches out there that would benefit from some CG work.

You guys are making me jealous. I was hoping to come down from Ft. Lauderdale on a friends Silverton but not sure if he can swing it now. My kitchen pass from the wife is still good and I got some southwest airlines tickets burning a hole in my pocket that expire at the end of the year. I suppose I just have to justify it to myself and see if my work load slows down by then

Kidds, just out of curiousity how fast do you guys run when you are out "cruisin."

That is a long haul to tow down from st. louis but 55mph cruise in my slow apache would be a hell of a lot more fun than 18 knots in a silverton LOL.

Pretty sure it's currently derigged and unused for the last 5-7 yrs in south Jersey. Slingshot on her owns it I believe?

Could have been a different one, I don't follow the Comanche's much.

That looks like the 41 Geronimo. The reason I say that is because it has the Innovation Marine sticker on the engine hatch and a similar paint scheme. There was a picture of it in the engine shop at Innovation Marine.
