You all have a point. I can clarify that there is no lack of "passion" for our boats. The problem is that these boats are constantly evolving, and you tend to have a desire for the latest and greatest. The differences from one boat to the other may be subtle, but they are the little things that make a difference, and usually end up with a few more mph, or a better all around product.
These boats are fun at every speed, especially the higher ones. I don't feel that the passion is lost for the boat, but the passion for the next one seems stronger.
I still have a tremendous amount of respect for our 1998 37 Outerlimits, but unfortunately, like women, I have a hard time falling in love with one for too long.

There's an old saying,,, " If your not happy w/ what you have, your not going to be happy with what you get.. "
Must be nice to be able to throw that kind of money out the window. The depreciation value alone is more than I could ever afford in a boat.

I think Animal has a point. We are talking about two different types of boats and people.
Some people have a passion for 63 427 Corvette's and others have a passion for the latest and greatest in Ferrari's. Both are great performing cars. A true auto enthusiast cherishes the 63 Vette for it's classic lines and performance. At the other end of the spectrum is the guy that owns a new Enzo. Again classic lines and even more stellar performance. Like the classic vette owner, he loves his Enzo... but you bet your azz he'll trade it in a heartbeat for the next generation! Not so with the Vette owner, there will only be one 63 Vette.

The last 36 was 2003 and 28 I think was last year (2002) as far as I can recall.
McMannus made a couple of 42 and 50 after that but I cannot remember the dates.
Stinson, am I close ?

Animalhouse, you're probably a very good example of Fiore's customer base, he's done an incredible job of developing it and I believe it is the envy of the industry. He's obviously doing something right in addition to just building the no holds barred fastest of the fast.
Sgrady, I am also looking forward to meeting you, I'm truly disappointed that the COPS run is on the Fourth, thats an " untouchable" family weekend. I'm also concerned that being the week before Smoke, many people will have to choose between them ( back to backs are tuff ) not even considering the typical mechanical issues that can't get fixed in a short week.
Boatme, TALK TO JACK !!( see above ) When should I start checking my mailbox for the Smoke DVD ? Any footage of the old yellow turd ? hmm..HMMMM!!
Jim Deitz
I LOVE Lake Michigan, some of the best Offshore conditions anywhere and NO SALT ! We step off the boat and go straight to the bar GUILT FREE !!
