We are quite happy with it.There are systems in place such as precision pattern cutting of the laminate and a lot of painstaking wet vacuum bagging to maintain the filament to resin ratio.

Early on as we were doing the workup and checking some samples; you take a piece of the laminate finished weigh it and burn the resin out then back to the scale for the remaining weight that gives you the resin to filament ratio.

Which brings the reason for all this: the Epoxy test coupons did not want to burn you really have to keep the torch on it.. a nice side benefit the boat will not sink by virtue of construction or burn on its own..

Sorry for the long winded reply I was just trying to explain why we do not have surprises.

Everybody should get into the boat building business , it's a simple way to get rich. Fiberglass is a buck a pound , right? 8000 lb boat you got $ 8000.00 dollars of material , sell it for $ 300,000 grand. Nothing to it , yea right! BH
