If the 300hp doesnt work, I dont think the 2.5s will?
What do you think?

Maybe she needs inboards?

John- I can appreciate your interest in real estate. Ironically, real estate development/investment is my primary business. Please be aware that there are no guarantees with real estate. Over the last decade we have furtunately had no slumps and alot of novices have cashed in. With the uncertainties with interest rates and employment I would urge you to remain liquid and to atleast not get yourself encumbered with alot debt at this time. I understand the Florida is a very hot market, however, it can cool off quickly with increases in interest rate. So, move cautiously, and look for deals which are below market and motivated seller situations, i.e. estate sales and lost jobs. Rather than sell your boat, I suggest you consider pledging it as collateral for an equity loan and then finance the remainder of your purchase with conventional/bank loan. Realize that weither you sell or leverage, all of this is speculation, and determine the level of discomfort/stress you, and your wife, can tolerate.

STV-92 Welcome to the Awesome Family. You will find the members are a great group and willing to assist you to achieve the potential of your boat. I'm good friends with a 31'/twin outboards owner and I'm certain he will be happy to answer all your questions. As for hitting the triple digits with your proposed setup, my initial thought is that it is unlikely. However, I suggest you speak with my in house mechanical engineer or a couple of our staff members you are diehard outboard enthusiests. Feel free to call me at your convenience on my cell phone at 314-496-6701. Dan

Outer motors look to be to far out
Need wing plate under middle to trap more air.

Im off for vacation next week, will be back in two weeks.
I will post & continue the mission.

Thanks to all, will keep all posted on set up

Enjoy the holidays.

I still have not found anybody with an outboard 30ft. Wonder if there is any out there

For what I have been told these things are heavy.
I trying to decide if I put 3 2.5 efi offshores or spend a little more money & get 3 300 promaxs.

Was told it only ran 70mph with 3 2.4 efi., but I know the 2.5 are much stronger motors. I have a 2.5 efi offshore on a STV & love it. but this is not the same.

Anybody have any idea what she would do with the 2.5 or the 300 promax.
Im trying to run 100 or close to it

Any help would be great. I live on the east coast & plan on running the poker runns next summer.

Hope to see you guys out on the water.
How fast does yours run with the inboards

Thanks
Jeff
is that boat red? if so it was in a repo yard in detroit a year ago, there was one there that needed a third outboard...put a bid in myself then never saw it again until it popped up on boattrader.com.

the third outboard was missing the lower end at the time.

Good to hear from all,

Yes, I bought a red,yellow & black.

May have come from detroit.
Hard to talk, I am on a cruise & will be back home next week.
Im from Montreal Quebec Canada & working on putting 3 2.5efis.

Have a great holiday to all, and I will be back after vaction

Need to find someone who knows 30ft. with three outboards.
Everybody tells me the middle will get the most damage, but I want to try three & go from there.
Prop, prop? anybody have any idea what props to run?
The boat has no trim tabs, but I am thinking of putting some?

See you all this summer

Thats the boat...used to say "Triple Threat" on the side, was in the repo yard for a little while in Harrison township, just north of detroit. 26awesome's brother with the fountain knows where that place is...I bought his 28 velocity that originally came out of that same yard.

Boat sat outside for a little while but looked good except for some cleanup and the lower unit on the center drive. Good to see its running again.

Ya,baby thats the one.

It was surveyed last Jan05, I have a copy.
had two tumbs up

I bought everything except the power heads.
It has three mids&lowers.

I am going to put 3 2.5 efi powerheads this summer & see what she does.
It was dirty when the guy I bought it from got it.

He ran it with two motors & did a major cleaning on her & recovered the seats.
When I get her home I will do a major clean on the outside red. (maybe wet sand.) a good buffing for sure.

Motors: I am looking for the best for this boat. The 2.5s will do well, but I dont think they are the best for this boat. (to heavy)

I was thinking the 300 promaxs, but I am also thinking the new 275 4 stoke

Any help would be great.

Enjoy the holidays, Im on the way to Nassau, then Florida & then fly home to Montreal for the winter.
Cruise will be over in the next few days

Take care all

I've got a 20'Funcat, 2.4, 280hp, offshore mid, with Sportmaster lower, 14" setback. In preparation of a needed facelift. Boat rides great in the rough stuff, handles as a true cat should

Progressive- How fast is your funcat? I've heard that 95mph is achievable with a single outboard. Can it handle 4' to 6' slop? Dan
