U mean garry,right jeff? Lol

STV92 07-28-2012 09:08 AM

That just looks "sick!!"

I love those seats, back seat I have never seen like that.
You have done a great job, could not look any better,
She's AWESOME!

When are you going to get her in the water?

In Montreal, we have no water & boat ramps don't run long enough to put mine in!
Have not even put mine in,,, bummer,,

Sucks this year, but been enjoying the STV & gas bill

Great job, cant wait to hear how she runs & looks in the water.

feline frenzy 07-28-2012 11:16 AM

time to hook her up

fresh outta kens upholstery and time to take her home and hook it all up!

ROTAX454 07-28-2012 05:33 PM

Get'er done. Your in the home stretch. Gotta feel great.

feline frenzy 07-28-2012 05:50 PM

Amen.mounting lowers as i type!

STV92 07-29-2012 08:17 AM

Did you ever get a chance to weigh the boat?

What props are you starting wtih,

Happy to see that you will finally get her in the water.

Did you paint the rub rails?

Just looks Awesome, are you happy with the news seats?
Im going to do mine in the winter & may send it to the same place as yours

feline frenzy 07-31-2012 06:27 AM

well i wieghed the bare hull when it was in 2 peices and she was at 2150lbs. im gonna weigh her again as aoon as i have everything on her. now if i could get the dam tilt tubes out so i can install my steering i'd be all set, but its not budging. always something! rub rails are just thin aluminum and they stop by marker lights,no rub rail up front ,had it smoothed out. as for props im starting with hydromotive quad4 14.5 x29 labbed by throttle up props. got a great deal on them so i pray they work? what are you running?

STV92 07-31-2012 10:16 AM

Well, can't wait to see her in the water.

Im running 2.5 promax (x3)

I got Tim at Performance prop do the work,
I have been working with Tim for many years & he does a great job on props. Mine are choppers, cut down.

You boat sounds alot lighter then mine, which is a good thing for you,

The outside motors are 14.5x26 3 blades & the middle one has a 4 blade 14.5 x 28.

They all run even at 6400 rpms.,

I hope you can turn your props, but if not I know a good guy that can help.

Keep us all posted, she looks Awesome :lolhit:

feline frenzy 07-31-2012 11:30 AM

What gear ratio r u using?

STV92 07-31-2012 03:44 PM

1:87 on all

feline frenzy 07-31-2012 06:08 PM

Im starting with 175.1 so??? If not i got a sweet set of spare props.

STV92 08-01-2012 12:43 PM

Would it be worth putting a tunnel tab in the middle as a trim tab?

Hardest thing is to get her on plane with the 28 pitch.

Mine is hard to get on plane because of the pitch,
I don't think mine would go on plane without the third motor.

But, almost time for the water test :evilb:
Hard to get the best of both worlds,

PS: Watch your water pressure when your trying to get on plane. Once on plane, I have great water pressure.

feline frenzy 08-24-2012 09:22 PM

After 100+ hours of rigging, she came alive on first turn of keys! Time to water test her tomorrow! Woo hoo

feline frenzy 08-25-2012 10:08 PM

Day 1 went awesome! She ran great. Got on plane instantly and was cruising at 74 in no time.very happy. Cant wait for the 10 hr.break in period so i can get all my rpms.the 29 pitch props inpressed my may have to go highr? Come on sunshine.day 2 is too far away.:)

Day 2 went well,5 people on board real snotty water and lots of extra weight and she handled perfectly and ran great.time to raise motors a little and see results.

ROTAX454 08-27-2012 06:36 PM

Damn, It Floats!!! Great hearing that all went well.

LEOPA has their Fall Poker Run next month. Just saying.

feline frenzy 08-27-2012 06:49 PM

Sooo coool :evilb:

Good to hear all works and runs well..

feline frenzy 08-28-2012 06:56 AM

Just need to get another 900 rpm outta her sooner or later. Im just enjoying it for now.may not run as fast as i want it too but it runs great and i need a break! Lol. I'll never build another boat though.

feline frenzy 08-29-2012 06:24 AM

couldn't resist had to raise motors another 1/2" to see how she runs?

abones 08-29-2012 11:40 PM

your boat looks great, real nice to hear you are out and enjoying the water after all your hard work, sounds like it was worth all the effort. wow what a nice job. What area do you boat? It would be nice to get all the awesomes out together for a weekend to meet one another and discuss our projects, mine is a 2000 38 ft, bought it new.

feline frenzy 08-30-2012 07:57 AM

2 Trick Rick 08-31-2012 08:59 AM

I saw you last night on Jefferson / Hall Rd (m-59) area.

I was the white van that speed up next to you to see if it was your boat.. lol

Nice looking rig, hows the speed with the 250xs Power so far?

STV92 08-31-2012 09:49 AM

Looks like an awesome ride :thankyouthankyou:

Outboards on these big boats look awesome,

I am running 3 -225 efi merc. & love them.
I dont think mine would come out of the water without the third motor.

250 xs motors are the greatest, Hoping to change mine to 3-300 xs motors next year & get into the 100mph.
May sell outboards over the winter.

Does yours lean outside on the turns?
I found that werd, but now driver threw it.

Keep posting the numbers & remember to raise those motors, only way of getting max. speed.
Watch your water & temp gauges,,

Keep it coming, we are loving it!

I would like to get over that way to boat, but heading north to T.C. this weekend, hang out for the weekend, might like it enough to get out of this area!! everyone enjoy the weekend. be carefull with the speed.

feline frenzy 09-04-2012 10:52 AM

thanks for compliments. so far i'm only seeing 86 but i haven't stayed in her that long and my effin jack plates keep raising and lowering by them selves so till i figure how to lock them down i'm timid about pushing her too far! i know at 2" above bottom i still had 15psi at 82? and i'm not there on rpm's either,i need about 500 more so a little tweaking to go. too bad weather is going fast. but i sure used the beans outta her the last 10 days!

STV92 09-04-2012 02:54 PM

86 mph is great news :)
15 psi is good water pressure.

Looking good

feline frenzy 09-04-2012 03:11 PM

i need to figure out how to lock down my jack plates though? it scares me, i pulled boat yesterday and motors raised an inch on their own? thats three days in a row they moved either up or down or one each way? possesed?lol

STV92 09-05-2012 08:52 AM

Can you drill a hole, bolt them & set the jack plates?
You can always move them up/down from the motors ?

Easy fix if the are set in the correct location.
You are getting some good numbers with only 500hp.
Great job!
How do they do on gas??
I have always heard that the xs motors are great on gas.

Keep posting, great reading,,,,
PS: Summer is coming to an end up north, dam!

feline frenzy 09-05-2012 11:18 AM
