I have in the past while running torque masters with high x dimensions drilled my own water pickup holes (Similar to the factory sportmaster pickups) in the bottom of the nose cone where the skeg and the lower meet. Works well in many applications.

I have never seen this done. Got any pictures ?? Do you plug the original 4 holes in the nose?

Thinking about doing a conversion on a 31 guys, curious what shaft length are recommended? Also just trying to get to the 70s not looking for a speed machine honestly, just something affordable and fun. What size motors does everyone recommend?

Ben that looks mint! Man where did you find that bracket? I’d love to get my hands on one instead of two small jack plates. I have seen a lot of guys use 25 I guess I’ll stick to that. I’m on a bit of a budget so really wonder what’s the smallest outboards I could run. Not sure what these boats truly weigh empty. I know i can get 225s for great deals but would it be enough

and my mph isn't high enough to use sport master lowers. Im Running torque master with side pickups blocked.
