Re: Question for you Baja guys
Thanks again. We needed to hear it from a non sales pitch and we missed those for sale in IL.
BTW my hat is off to that boat after riding in a 33. In my book anything after 70 is respectable and driving it we did not have to come off the throttle when a 4 footer came our way. As for me I may also hang up my gold chain later when time comes. You cant deny the prices of a 2001 33 O/L to a 2001 35 Lightning. Safety before speed, a 35 lightning can tear up the water but it doesn't feel as stable. My 2 cents.
Thanks.

Re: Question for you Baja guys
You are right on saying 99% of 33's have black motors. The fact is everybody wishes they had the blue motors but the upcharge seems to stop eveybody cold. When I bought my 2001 I bit the big one and opted for the 500 efi's. The extra 30000 was well worth it in my opinion but most people buy the 33 with 496 h.o.'s, save the 30000 bucks and piss and moan about not going fast enough.

If you can't find one with blue motors, why not look into something like what Raylar has to offer. It is my understanding that it is reliable hp, and a lot cheaper than blue motors.
I can't see the blue motors when they are going around me anyway. And I for one am not happy unless I have something to piss and moan about I do love my 33 though.

I have a blue motored 2000 model 33 Outlaw for sale in the classified section here. Fasten a couple short blue neon lights to the stringers under each engine and just sit and drink beer at the dock and admire them...saves on gas. LOL
