Default 302?

Anyone have a good idea of what speed a 302 will hit with 496 Mags as opposed to HO's?
I've put money down on one but am now thinking I should get one with HO's.
I've seen alot around on how the 30 Outlaw is getting close to 80 with HO's and labbed props. Does a 302 have a chance at thse numbers or is it more of a high 60's with mags and low 70's with HO's. I always see that people start with less and almost immediately want more thereafter. Figured its early enough to back out and get one with HO's if its worth it. Don't want to regret it in a week. I've been going back and forth from used 33's and 36's and think a new ('05) 302 with the right motors is the right bet. I've seen some around so figured I still have some time to find the right one. Just decided that I wanted the window and the 342 is just out of my pricerange unless it has little power and I know that would be a mistake.
Thanks

A 2005 302 with 496 MAGS will run 68-72 mph and a 302 with HO's will run 71-75 mph.

Wow,
there is that much of a difference in the 302 and 30 Outlaw? They weigh about the same from the specs. Thats a bummer the 302 is 5+mph slower than a similar boat wth the same power. Never would have guessed that.

My 2002 29 Outlaw with 496 Mags did 70 on GPS. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have a 302 with 454 mag mpi's and it runs 68-70 gps full of fuel and people. The best ever was 72+ on gps. I know that mine will beat a 496 mag boat. I have done it agains 3 different 302's with Mags. The HO boats beat me quite easily, they are at least 3-5 mph faster.

The 30 ol and the 302 are very different, the 302 and 29 ol, although very different, are more similar than the 302 and 30'ol.

I love my 302 but if had to do it over again I would get a used 33 with HO's.

My .02

I appreciate the info.
I did look into a 33 and a 36 but there wasn't any that worked out right. I personally dislike the 30 outlaw in general. I've seen many of them. for some reason they seem smaller in the cockpit and the inteior does not inspire me at all. Don't know what it is exaclty but the 30 was never even really in the running. Looks like the 302 with HO's and I'll be happy for a little while anyway.

I have a 2004 30 outlaw with HO's and my buddy has a 2003 302 with mags. He hits 68-69 on a daily basis. I run about 78-79 regularly.
