I'll keep you posted on how my boat turns out.

We pulled the A/C fitting off the bottom, took the hook out and trued the last four feet of the hull.

That fitting is a BIG problem. I know for a fact it was causing a lose of speed and creating bad water on the port drive and prop.

We should have it back in the water soon.

The stock 500 carbs are 800's. we are thinking they are too small to turn the 5600, may have to go with 850's.

Im very interested to see how it does. Im wondering if that isnt a lot of my problem. Everybodys 36 does 74 from the factory EXCEPT mine. maybe that a/c fitting is costing 1-2 mph. If so, thats a cheap fix for the gain.

I'm very interested to hear how Dock's boat rides now that the hook has been removed. I have heard on Baja's that taking it out causes it to porpoise alot more.

Dock please let us know !!!!

It's "iffy".

Spacers increase plenum volume,
that can help compensate when
carb size is a limiting factor.

And, they're relatively cheap, and
relatively easy to install.

BajaRunner, Sorry to cut you short today on the phone. When I tried to call you back I didn't have your number. To answer your question, the only person I know of for glass work around here would be Rick George out at Emerald Point Marina. I have not met him personally or had any work done for me by him, but I have been told that he is suppose to be good. The only other people that I have heard do a good job is Custom Boats of Austin, but then again I have not personally had anything done by them. Sorry I can't give you a definate answer but I hope this helps. :drink:
