Best prop on 25 O/L with 496mag
I put a Mach 4-blade 24P prop on my Outlaw last year and was pretty impressed with the better ride quality, but it slowed the boat down a little. That's not a big deal, but I'm wondering what the best prop would be.
When you go from half throttle to WOT, there's not much there. With that prop, I get about 4800rpm's, but it's only about 63 or 64 mph on GPS. I'm also installing a stereo that'll be an extra 80 pounds. What do you guys think?

I think your top speed is pretty close, you might see 1-2 mph with a 3 blade. try a 23p mirage. thats a pretty universal prop for the 25's. My brother has an ho 25 outlaw with a 23. Im not familiar with a 496 mag 25, you might have to step down to a 21p mirage.

The stock one is a 23p Mirage 3-blade. It's about 1-2 faster like you said, but doesn't lift the stern as much so the ride quality is worse...

JB, how much better is the 4b compared to a 3b in handling? Im thinking about having my 23p 3b labbed and balanced, I was wondering if I could still get the speed out of a 4b but also add handling?

The 4b handles better in rough water. It lifts the stern up more than the other prop. I did lose speed though, and now it seems like when the trim tabs are all the way up, it leans real far to the left. I have to lower the trim tab 5 digits to level it back out. Thats with driver and passenger that weigh the same, so it's nothing unsituated in the boat.
