With information from X-T over the years, this started in 2012 when I bought it. As far as I know, there were 3 1992's, some later in the year had 1992 numbers taken out, but are 1993's. NADA does not list the 1992. One out East in Maryland, Irish Tornado on here and everywhere, has the different color one with Red and Gray. His is at this time the best in condition. He did a complete build of the whole boat. His wood was in bad shape, the one out east has had bad wood. Mine, luckily is still solid in that area. The only upgrades to mine when I got it was the engines and outdrives were upgraded to 2001. I have a log book of everything ever done from previous owner.

Hi Dock,
3 year ago I purchased a 1989 Baja 216 DSR. It has a 5.7 merc and Bravo 1. It is 22' long with an open bow. I can't seem to find any information on this model. Was this a prototype for the Islander? Any information you could give me would be much appreciated. I tried to upload pictures but I am new to this forum and not allowed yet.

Never seen or heard of a Baja Renegade. I have the 1994 dealer brochure and it's not in there...
Sounds like an interesting boat, from what I can find on the 'Net...

sorry for the late response lol. From what I was told from someone at Baja back in 2000, the DSR models were just for a few years that they didn’t use the islander name. I don’t know about the 216, but the 190 Hull was used in several other models through the mid/late 90s.

I have a 1990 sales brochure and dealer pricing book sitting on my dresser will try to post the info it has on the 216 tomorrow.
