Another good place to try for a cover would be Yachts to Sea in Nashville, IL.
When I bought my 242 it came with the red Baja trailering cover. For one of my free goodies, they gave me the white vinyl cloth backed shipping cover that Baja puts on at the factory.
It is a very nice cover for using at the house(it does have the ratchet straps for trailering). I just throw it on over the cockpit covers. that way my red one stays nice and clean for trips and stuff.
From what I understand, they usually offer to folks when they buy a boat, but if they don't take them they discard them.

I've heard of that place Matt. They're a new dealer this year aren't they? The cover they gave you is the same as I got from Alton Blakley. My boat is garage kept, except for weekends when we're at the lake at the campground. There's a lot of trees at the campground and I have to wash it every morning we're there to get the tree sap and other crap off. This cover will keep all that off, plus the dust off of it in the garage and the cockpit cover won't get as much wear and tear.

I think it has been about 3-4 years. They are super nice there. Father owns the place and is the salesman along with his son and the mother runs the accessory counter.
They got second place in customer satisfaction this year. Located about 20 min west of Mt. Vernon, IL.
They were going to come to the poker run but I guess it fell through.
Nice thing about the white cover. A long handle brush and soapy water and the thing will be clean again.

As a result of this thread and also the 1 on Teambajamarine (got kind of nasty over there) I was contacted by Baja the week after this started to bring my checkbook and they allowed me to buy $200,000.00 of the their old parts inventory. Needless to say I have been very busy for the past month and these covers came from that purchase. I will be listing many other items in the next few months as we have still not inventoried many of the parts including custom carpets, cabin doors, windshields, dash panels, cockpit covers etc etc. They would not let me buy up the mooring covers as they do very well with them. After the first of the year I will be contacting Blake about sponsorship on his site Teambajamarine to offer these parts to Baja guy's that need them. Thanks Brian
