I spoke with the president of Baja, David Olson. We had a good conversation and we've discussed some very serious options. It's just about resolved I hope. I'll let you know as soon as it's 100%.

I went to the top myself, after a few days of not much progress.

This of course was after 2 weeks of the dealer not even being able to produce a phone number. I could have called 411 at anytime during that 2 weeks, but I wanted to give the dealer a shot at making things right first.

ps- I think jmeng's calculation of "1 mph for every 15hp in that size range" seems right on the mark.

Is this the "local" CLT Baja dealer? Moving to Huntersville in July and was planning on keeping my boat there. You are scaring me...

CMC, thanks, yes it was helpful -I'm sorry to hear you had issues, but glad to hear you "won your battle". I would prefer to not battle with anyone. I just wanted to buy a new boat and enjoy it. Actually, at this point in time I don't feel like I'm battling anyone -which is good. My issue isn't resolved yet, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

five cent worth- They are the local dealer here on the lake. I haven't heard of any complaints with storage. I'd bet you'll be fine there. From what I've seen they get the boats in and out quickly and efficiently, looks like they have plenty of parking and from what I've heard- they have the best gas prices on the lake.
